This concerns First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit & Repeat Home Buyer Tax Credit. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. First Time Home Buyer eligible for $8,000 : Repeat Home Buyer eligible for $6,500. FIRST TIME HOME BUYER: First - Who is a First Time Home Buyer - anyone who has not owned a home in the past 3 years. Second - To be eligible for the $8,000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit you must Purchase and Close on the home on or before April 30, 2010. Time is running out to take advantage of this tax credit money. Third - A First Time Home Buyer may qualify for an additional $5,000 to $15,000, or more, of Grant money that doesn't have to be repaid. Just qualify and follow the requirement.
REPEAT HOME BUYER: If you currently own a home and are considering purchasing selling it and buying another home, you may be eligible for a $6,500 Tax Credit. Once again, you must Purchase and Close on the home before April 30, 2010. Deadline may be waived if purchase contract is in place by April 30.
Current interest rates are at historical low levels.
All total a First Time Home Buyer may qualify for $8,000 to $23,000, or more, of non-repayable money for the purchase of their home. It just doesn't get any better than this. But you must act quickly because time is running out.
